Meet Sheena: Founder & Lead Facilitator
Sheena Brevig is a dynamic consultant and creative force, leveraging her unique blend of social science, diversity & inclusion expertise and filmmaking experience to tackle systemic issues in the media landscape and positively impact society. While receiving a B.S. in neuroscience, she studied community and mental health across three continents and she recognized the transformative power of storytelling and belonging on overall well-being. This sparked her drive to create inclusive, authentic content, and support others in doing so, to positively impact society and culture.
Her passion for advocating for LGBTQ+, Asian/Mixed Asian, and disability communities shines through all of her endeavors, including her queer mental health digital series that premiered at top LGBTQ+ film festivals and earned recognition from the California State Assembly for bringing awareness to AAPI mental health.
In recent years these experiences culminated in Sheena spearheading innovative workshops, collaborating with some of the world's top experts to create sessions that equip industry professionals with research-informed tips to craft authentic, inclusive content that can reduce bias and shift culture positively. Her expertise includes developing specialized training programs for the world's leading media companies and creator platforms, supporting teams in effectively understanding systemic barriers marginalized communities face within the media industry. She brings this same enthusiasm to designing and facilitating inclusion programs that transform workplace dynamics and foster collaborative, high-performing teams.
She has developed workshops across topics such as the Business Case for Authentic Representation, Intersectionality in Media, Colorism & Media Impact, and identity-based workshops covering everything from LGBTQ+, Gender Expression, Latino/a & Hispanic Representation, to Disability, Body Diversity and more.
Her work has reached over 4,000+ professionals, collaborating with industry leaders including Disney, YouTube, Activision Blizzard King, National Geographic, Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony, Lionsgate, NBME, Glassdoor, and LoveSac.
